Scholarships to study in Regional Australia
As I mentioned last week, the Australian Government is investing in ways to attract more immigrants to places outside the four biggest cities.
Part of the effort includes attracting international students to regional Australia. The Destination Australia Program (DAP) was designed precisely for this, and it offers a $15,000 scholarship per year.
As a reminder, studying in regional Australia is a massive step towards getting all the points required for a permanent visa application.
For the purposes of the Destination Australia Program, a regional location is classified as any area outside of Major Cities of Australia, in line with the Australian Bureau of Statistics' Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure.

Southern Cross University (locations: Coffs Harbour and Lismore)
